In unit 13: Teaching Pronunciation and Phonology Pronunciation, I realized all of the components that goes into learning to speak in English. This unit helped me to truly understand the break down of the English language. Understanding the the phonemic alphabet will help build the foundation for the English language. I helps to break down individual sounds and not just spelling patterns. This unit also breaks downs the intonation of speaking. The sounds and stress of words can help an English learner who is listening to better understand the flow of language and give auditory clues for understanding as the what is being said and how they as the listener should respond.
