Unit 4 is an overview of the English tenses.
First language English speakers often forget the specifics of grammar tenses as they speak it naturally.
Though for speakers who use English as a second language, tenses may be more complicated and harder to grasp.
That`s why it is useful to be knowledgeable in the structure, to be able to explain to others and properly teach the material. The following 4 tenses are reviewed: present simple, present continuous, present perfect simple, present perfect continuous. For each, the positive, negative and question forms are explained and examples are given. Common student mistakes are also mentioned, and activities for the active learning stage are also provided.
