Unit 4 looked at the four forms of the present tense we use when talking about the present. This unit helped me better understand the different usages and structures we use when we describe present events. It also helped me understand the linkage between past and present tenses. The unit further helped me clarify the nuances of the different present tenses. I am therefore able to better understand the difficulties that students learning English face when dealing with the complexity of English grammar and in particular, in the case of present tenses.
