Unit 8 focused on the future tenses, which are more numerous and complex than the present and past tenses. I learned the following seven most common types of future tenses: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, "be going", present simple, and present continuous. I learned the affirmative, negative and question forms of each of these, usages, and teaching suggestions. I learned that I have to take care when talking about the present simple and present continuous tenses when used as future tenses as opposed to present tenses. This unit rounded out my knowledge of tenses in general and helped me be far more aware of how I use them in my own speaking, which will help greatly when it comes time to teach them.
