I now know how important it is to establish a rapport between the teacher and the students starting with the first class. Making the students feel comfortable in their learning environment is very important so they have the confidence to participate in all learning activities. I also know that it is important to recognize the student who are having difficulties in the classroom and help them be successful but it is also important not to spend all of your time with that one student because the others can become discouraged and fall behind too.
