This unit focused on the reasoning and structure of lesson planning, as well as some pitfalls that a new teacher might experience--for example planning too much or planning too little. The lesson emphasized being flexible with one's lesson plan, and using the plan as a record of what happened in the classroom, what was accomplished, and what was not. The record also would aid other teachers and yourself in planning and running future lessons. As someone who has never taught before, this unit was very helpful, and I plan to use the template in the near future!
