This unit covers strategies for teaching new material, beginning with teaching vocabulary. The unit progresses to teaching new grammatical structures, and ends with teaching language functions. For each, the unit provides techniques for teaching each type of information, and ends with example lesson plans. Lesson plans vary depending on topic. From this unit, I feel I have learned more effective ways to make topics interesting, and I have also learned just how crucial the "activation" stages are to learning new material.
