This unit first talks about one of the more complicated (with respect to teaching) aspects of English grammar, namely, the conditionals. It details the five main types of conditionals and their structure and formation, and shows how the exceptions make way for a large number of confusions and errors in students' understanding. The unit also suggests ways in which this particular aspect can be taught and reinforced in students. The unit further goes on to discuss direct and indirect (reported) speech, and the rules for changing one into other and vice versa.
