Printed course materials are professional, proven, and expected by the students. They provide a course syllabus and inner security for the beginner teacher. They are also written for the general public (not this individual class), may be outdated, boring, and too controlling. It is the responsibility of the teacher to use the course book as a GUIDE (not the bible) for the class and the teacher should amend/add/ redact any materials therein which are not suited for the particular class. Created materials can be much easier for the beginner students to use and more specific to the class interests.
