This unit went over the various forms of the past tense: past simple, past perfect, past continuous, and past perfect continuous. The unit included examples of the usage of such verbs, common errors that students make, and suggestions for activities that would be suitable to teach and solidify the usage of the past tense for students. Even in doing this test, I can see that the past tense can be difficult to fully grasp, and can be prone to mistakes, particularly in distinguishing which form is which. As a native speaker, I can hear what sounds correct, but this unit helped me to understand why each form is used and in which cases.
