The various formats (Engage, Study & Activate) and their various orders have given me deeper insight into how to teach my students a second language and in what order to format my lessons according to their ability and understanding. It was interesting to see the difference between a "Typical ESA vocabulary lesson" (straight arrow structure) as opposed to, for example, a "boomerang" or "patchwork" lesson where the three main formats of Engage, Study & Activate were taken one step further in their complexities. I hope to go over these formats thorughly so that i am able to use the various combinations accordingly.
