This unit was a helpful refresher course in the ESA methods, as well as a unit that assisted me in making important distinctions between which ESA methods to use when teaching grammar and vocabulary and which ESA methods to use when teaching functions. I was particularly pleased with the distinction made between receptive vocabulary and productive vocabulary because there is often such a gap between the two, and it is nice to be able to compliment students on receptive vocabulary in order to build their confidence if their productive vocabulary isn't as developed.
