I enjoyed watching both videos to pick up on positives and negatives. In the second lesson, the teacher clearly had made connections with his students and encouraged them to correct each other. His feedback was always positive and because of this students were willing to try. In addition, he made sure that every student had a chance to participate. I thought the second lesson was very seamless, each part easily flowed into the other. It was interesting to see the teacher use color coding in both lessons to emphasize the structures, but they were each done in a different manner. Clearly the teacher's attitude made a huge impact on eliciting answers and students' willingness to try.
