From my point of view this lesson has been quite beneficial because in the future I will be teaching young children. This lesson has given me assurances and reinforced some general thoughts and ideas that I've had in relation to teaching young children. It is always important that lessons are paced and managed for time because children have a short attention span. Therefore, it is important to make lesson and activities fun and engage while still maintaining a sense of order within the classroom. Because young children are new to English and probably even a school environment it is important to make the atmosphere of the classroom warm and welcoming. This way children are able to feel relaxed and comfortable.
