This unit introduced the verb tense system for English, with a focus on the present tense. The unit broke down the present tense into present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous verb forms. It has been a long time since I have thought about verbs in this sort of operationalized way, and so this unit reminded me and allowed me to practice some of the intricacies of the English language. The various examples and cases in which we use the various verb forms helped ground the language, the knowledge of which I take advantage of on a daily basis as proper English has become "natural."
