Unit seventeen offered explanations about the usage of different pieces of teaching equipment. Many of these tools are used simultaneously by the class all at once, like when white/blackboards, interactive whiteboards, overhead projector, videos, and other forms of visual aid are used. However, the unit also reminded prospective teachers that classroom materials such as dictionaries, computers, course books, resource books, and online resources can also be valuable learning materials for students when they are doing independent projects or classwork that involves creativity or seeking out information. Many teachers will need to rely upon the schools they work for to provide certain materials such as IWBs or OHPs, but they still can bring in their own visual aids in the form of physical objects, pictures, and videos.
