This unit consisted of two videos of sample teaching. In the first video, the teacher seems ill-tempered and disrespectful of his students. He is not encourage, does not explain new language or activities clearly, and does not encourage students to take risks. In the second video, the teacher is welcoming and tries to pique his students' curiosity and motivation to learn English. He encourages all students to speak, explains concepts clearly, and welcomes the participation of all students. He is also more professional. From this unit, I feel that I have observed first-hand how the teacher's attitude toward the students can help or hinder their willingness to take risks to learn.
