Unit eleven goes over the topic of teaching receptive skills, what a receptive skill is, and how receptive skills are used in day to day life. From this unit I have learnt how reading and listening is different based on previous experiences so not everything read will be understood, I also learnt to help students get more involved in receptive language learning subjects interesting to students should be chosen for activities. Knowing how people read and listen differently based on experience I will be able to make the right choice when providing learning material for my students making the class more effective.
