In this unit we learned about teaching receptive skills. This involved teaching reading and listening techniques, such as skimming versus scanning. We talked about how reading, listening, speaking and writing are all equally important, and all have their place in teaching English. In the test we went over another ESA lesson, and this was useful as a way to ensure I understand the ESA structure as well as ideas for a lesson plan when I want to teach listening skills.
