This unit was useful for me especially at the elementary school level. While pronunciation often crops up in the junior high school and adult classes, my main role at the elementary schools is to demonstrate native pronunciation. I didn't know much about sound changing or schwa sounds before, so sometimes I wondered if I was teaching the students "bad" English. This came up a lot when teachers would say things like Austray-lee-uh, in-ter-es-ting, and leTTers. After completing this unit, I have more confidence in teaching intonation and native-sounding pronunciation.
