Unit 7 taught me how to teach vocabulary. When choosing vocabulary, we need to pay attention to the appropriacy to the students and the tasks, frequency and coverage, and teachability. A typical lesson introduction new vocabulary, we use straight arrow method. An introduction to grammatical structure lesson typically goes with patchwork method. And as for teaching language function lesson, both boomerang and patchwork method get the job done. This unit also gave us various techniques for each of the stages, which I find extremely useful.
