The visual aspect to this unit made it very easy for me to grasp the theory, especially since I learn better visually. The fact that two examples, the opposite of one another, was given adds on to why it is easy to understand what is and what is not allowed in a class setting. The videos brought to my attention how important it is for the teacher to be prepared as well as place the focus on the learners by helping them understand in the best way suitable for them. It also showed me how quickly it is to become confused, especially when while learning a new language. Any type of barriers should be avoided as they it makes it harder to build rapport and learn.
I feel more at ease, since I have a much better idea as to what is expected from the different roles in the class room setting. It all comes down to preparation and practicing.
