This unit covered practical aspects of teaching, i.e. how to teach. It covered several methods and explained how to use them. It then focused on ESA (Engage Study Activate), which is a teaching methodology put forward by Harmer. The materials gave several useful suggestions for activities to be performed at each stage of an ESA lesson and then focused on advice for corrections. I felt that I learned a lot from this particular unit through all the material covered and was able to link my own experiences as a pupil with several points during the course of the unit, many of my past teachers used the ESA format for example.
