There are seven common areas of the future tense. The difference between the future perfect and the future perfect continuous is that the former describes something that will have been completed in the future, while the future perfect continuous explains how much something will have continued by a certain period in the future. These two grammar areas are easily confused. Another segment of grammar that is easily misused is the 'to be' with 'going to' in the future tense. The distinction however between this tense and the present continuous is that the latter is always followed by a verb. The future simple can also be confused with the future 'going to' and therefore these two concepts are often taught together to avoid any misunderstandings.
