This unit showed 2 different lessons by the same teacher teaching the same model verbs to the same group of students, however the 2 lessons were greatly different in the way they were taught and the attitude of the teacher was vastly different. In the 1st video the teacher was not inviting, used vocab above the learner's level, didn't give clear instructions, didn't give examples and didn't allow students ample practice before he asked them to complete tasks. This led to learners being confused and intimidated. Even as a viewer i felt uncomfortable and kept checking when the video would finish.
The 2nd video showed the teacher giving the same grammar point to learners but his attitude was much friendlier and open. He smiled at and joked with the students, he welcomed all answer, he gave learners a chance to provide answers and guided them to make out the rules for model verbs by themselves. The class was well structures without being rushed, lots of practice was given prior to an activity for the learners to produce what they had learnt. Instructions were clear and the teacher did an example from each of the 2 activities with the learners to insure that they comprehended what was expected from them. The 2nd lesson was much more relaxed and enjoyable from a viewer standpoint.
