Unit 9 - Lesson Planning
Lesson planning is important and plays a very critical role in delivering lessons to students. It acts as a guide and reference for following up with the different contents that have been covered over a specific period of time. In a lesson plan there are certain criteria/ steps that must be followed or included in a plan. For example, you will find the class size, learner objectives, content, name of the teacher, time and date just to name a few. I find the the learner objective must be specific and smart. at the end of the lesson the should be able to evaluate the students to see if the objectives were met or attainable by the students. I also learnt that the lesson plan should be set up in a way to facilitate students in other words it should be learner centered.
Even though one writes a lesson plan it should be flexible and not rigid. one should keep the the lesson plan simple so that anyone can follow it in case he or she is absent.
