This unit takes the ESA concepts from Unit 3 and puts them into practice with sample lesson plan/lesson evaluation sheets and a task sheet that includes lesson planning exercises. The Unit stresses that lesson plans should always be organized yet flexible, and the explanations and examples helped me understand how to make a personalized lesson plan with learner and teacher objectives, language points and activities, and anticipated problems. The unit also discusses evaluation forms, which help teachers reflect on lesson procedures, problems that arose, and how to address those problems in the following lesson. Studying the unit's examples of lesson plans and evaluations has helped me understand how using these materials effectively can make lessons more beneficial for students and ensure a smooth flow from one lesson to the next.
