This unit made the importance of having a handle on time and space clear when changing the tense of a sentence when speaking or writing. Some of the examples of mistakes provided for the section on reported speech that related to time and place are common even for native speakers. For me, the use of graphics and images are imperative to helping students visualize tenses and speech, as it will help replicate it's use in real life (ex. when absent friends are commonly brought into conversations with mutual friends).
