I have learnt about the productive skills called; Speaking and Writing.
I have also learnt the difference between accuracy and fluency activities and that they are nevertheless equally important.
The different types of speaking activities are controlled activities and guided activities which are based on accuracy and communication games which are based on fluency.
I have also learnt that students can be reluctant to speak and as teachers we must overcome these obstacles and encourage students to speak using techniques such as pair work, groups work and careful planning.
I have also learnt about writing skills, in writing it is very important to ensure correct spelling through proper pronunciation, it is also imperative to ensure proper punctuation and layout. We should ensure that students check their work so that they get the above there elements correct when writing.
Lastly, I have also learnt about the different games that I can encourage in the class.
