This unit's explanations of the four past tense forms has helped me understand their usages and how to look at a past tense sentence and tell its form based on its construction and the context of the sentence. The unit's suggestions of Activate stage activities like storytelling, journaling, and detective/interview role-plays were very helpful because it was hard for me to think of how to practice difficult forms like past perfect and past perfect progressive without just drilling the forms with different verbs.
