From this unit, I have learned the correct ways of correction; when to be used, when not to be used and how. I have also learned the many methods and theories of teaching. Most importantly I have learned the ESA method. Incorporating engage, study and activate in every lesson to keep them fun, and exciting! Although I have experienced the ESA method of teaching before, but I haven't realized it until now! I feel the usage of the different stages in ESA varies greatly depending on the age group one is teaching. For example, most of the ideas won't work for kids younger then seven in an ESL country, due to the lack of English knowledge. I am currently volunteering at a preschool I China so I feel the PPP method along with a simplified ESA works best! I hope complete the ITTT program for young learners right after this course!
