Reading and listening are two very important and mandatory things in order for the students learn English.
The more they know how to read and listen the more information they can gain during their everyday life and not only in class.
The texts that are given in the lessons should interest the students and should be suitable for their level.
It is good to make the students read and try to understand certain words in connection to the context even if they haven't heard these words before. But also giving the students some translations of words that are a little bit to complicated for them to understand on their own.
