Writing and speaking are the two productive skills that I will teach. I should use both fluency activities and accuracy activities in teaching productive skills. Accuracy activities are focused on correct language. The study section of the lesson might be a good place for these activities. Fluency activities focus on allowing the students to experiment and get creative in their language use. Games that are good for fluency practice include pictionary, free role-play, debates, and pair-work. Games can be a large part of the lesson. They increase engagement and can be great for improving fluency if they give the students enough room to be creative.
