In this unit we looked at two example videos of an ESA English class. The format of one video showing poor delivery, and a second video showing effective delivery, was very effective way to communicate and demonstrate the ideas we have learned so far throughout the course. I found these videos, particularly the first video, to be highly entertaining. I really appreciate that this course teaches the mindset that there are no "good" or "bad" students, just effective and ineffective teaching. To approach teaching with the idea that it is the teacher that makes a good or bad lesson, and not the students, is what makes a good lesson, and gives students the best chance of learning. Too often teachers blame the students for what is really their own ineffectiveness.
