Your tone of voice, gestures and eye contact are extremely important in the way a class will go. Be aware of your own body language and use appropriately. The way students are encouraged to work in groups or individuals is important as well as determining which seating arrangement is best suited for a given class. Also, being able to maintain discipline, recognizing behavioural problems and being able to address them correctly will make all the difference. Working on establishing a rapport with the students is probably one of the most important things in my mind.
