Teaching beginners can be very rewarding. The word 'beginner' is not all-encompassing. These phases range from the absolute beginner to the false beginner, the young beginner to the adult beginner, and those beginners without the Roman alphabet. Young beginners are often not as motivated as adult beginners. Those learning English without knowledge of the Roman alphabet will need much attention as well as writing and reading activities. Teaching beginners requires patience and knowledge of the students' basic needs. Students still need to always try and use English in the classroom –– as well as the teachers. Clear pronunciation and speech accompanied by frequent repetition is essential.
