This unit I got to see the effect that a teacher’s overall attitude and (seemingly) amount of preparation can have on the students. I got to see that in the first lesson the teacher arrived with a somewhat sour attitude and thus the class did not run smoothly. He was also being rather rude to the students, in my opinion, which did not help with the rapport. In the second video, he was much calmer and more relaxed. I know that we have all had bad lessons. I can think of a few I have given myself, but I do think that what happened in the first video was not just a little less preparation than for the second video (perhaps he even prepared the same amount). I think what happened in the first video also had to do with the way he treated the students and the attitude with which he entered the room.
