Judging from the nature of activities that engage students in learning present tense, I recognize how important this tense is to allowing our student's to learn about the characteristics and personalities of their peers and their world. In addition, the deviations in aspects of present tenses (such as simple, perfect, continuous, etc.) may be difficult to grasp for some students, as it is another layer of language to comprehend other than the tenses themselves. We must remind ourselves and our students the importance of uses in tenses.
