Lesson 8 covers future tenses and usage. I found this unit particularly beneficial because it outlined the structural forms to expect for each tense. This allowed for the concepts to be more easily understood and look for key words that would help in identifying which form was being used. Future perfect and future perfect continuous caused a lot of confusion until the lesson detailed that a key element between the two forms was that the continues form utilizes ‘been, by’. Attempting to learn these tenses independently would have required far more research than necessary to understand but because this lesson outlined this concept very clearly and with examples they are easier to comprehend.
The inclusion of present simple and present continuous also helped me identify the difference in presenting information as a prediction as opposed to the present that has a greater emphasis on the intention of the event leaving less room for interpretation.
