Lesson 10 demonstrates the importance of a properly prepared lesson plan with a positive attitude. In the first video the teacher appears disorganized and intimidating. He did not ease the students into the lesson with an engage phase and expected for them to understand what he was looking for before providing any explanation or context. This made the students visibly confused and reluctant to participate in the activities which negatively impacted their learning experience. In contrast, the second lesson managed to facilitate a much more positive response and engagement from the students. Even though the information from the two lessons were similar the largest difference was the delivery in the content. Because the teacher started by learning the students names, initiated a good engage phase, maintained a positive attitude, projected his voice and smiled more he was able to build a much better rapport with his students which made them much more receptive to his lesson plans.
