This unit was one of the most challenging. It dealt with modal verbs which condition a verb, such as 'should', 'can' and 'would' and the relevant aspects of their usage. It then went on to define the difference between active and passive sentence structures and finally dipped a toe into the complex subject of phrasal verbs. All of these form part of the grammar of the English language and are advanced concepts that are not suitable for elementary English learners.
