I enjoyed the overview of past methodologies compared to more modern ideas of teaching. I gather that group activities especially in countries where the English language is fairly uncommon have better effect and perhaps faster results in teaching the students the language however understanding the importance of the lesson context and preparation as the teacher have to be prepared at all times. Also important the motivational part and best practice to enhance the student confidence.
