This unit taught me the nuances of teaching new language. From the unit i've learned that regardless of language level, in order to learn new language, students need to be exposed to it, to understand its meaning and construction, and be able to practice and produce it. I've learned that students need to be introduced to new language -including grammar, vocabulary and functions -in a balanced and manageable way. An effective teacher should be able to decide which ESA type lesson is appropriate for the class and the new language being introduced.
