In this unit I learned about how to teach vocabulary, grammar and function of a new language. It provides important and useful information every teacher should know when teaching a new language. For example what students need to do with a new language such as be exposed to it, understand its meaning, how it is constructed, be able to practice and produce it. It is the responsibility of the teacher to provide different opportunities in which students can put into practice all of these. I learned something new. I learned about receptive and productive vocabulary. Productive make sense; it is the vocabulary used by students, and receptive is the vocabulary students are familiar with but do not use.
