We have learned what makes a good teacher, including their role in the classroom and qualities they should have, different learner levels and specific qualities about each level, different reasons for why students choose to learn English, and how culture and native language affect a student's ability to interact in a specific classroom environment. The last is most important to me because how culture shapes individuals within shapes how receptive they are to a specific teaching technique or activity, which influences their ability to absorb the information presented to them, affecting their ability to make the most out of a specific activity. Therefore, it is the instructor's responsibility to adjust the lessons and activities to best fit the cultural environment they are in and to ensure optimal comfort and learning in the classroom.
