This unit provides a good foundation for positive classroom roles and dynamics between teachers and students. I learned that it is important for teachers to use different roles dependent on the activity at hand. For example, it is important for a teacher to know when it's time to be more active during a lesson (such as, when a new topic is first being introduced, the teacher may need to take on the role of a manager/controller) and when it's time to withdraw (such as, when the students know a topic and they are given an activity to practice it, the teacher may take on a role of an observer)
