In this unit we looked at equipment and teaching aids. Although the material in this unit needs updating, I think that it was still beneficial, and most of the material is still relevant. Many classrooms do not have all the latest equipment, and so it is still common and sometimes even preferable to use CD players. The most important lesson from the unit was to have a backup plan whenever you are using technology. Still, I think it would be vastly more beneficial to talk about USB sticks, audio files, video files, and what can go wrong - for example some video files might be unplayable on an old laptop, which is probably the sort of laptop you will encounter in a classroom. The section on cassette tapes is very unlikely to be useful.
