In this unit I learned about the past tense. This includes the past simple (regular and irregular verbs), the past continuous, the past perfect, and the one that is the least used or taught, the past perfect continuous. When I began reading the unit it was a little bit confusing, but when I reviewed the material a couple of time everything made sense. The formulas provided were very useful and I followed them instead on relying on a sentence as an example. For example, the past continuous formula is : subject +was/were + verb+ing. An example of a sentence following this formula would be: I was writing to my mother.
