In my English teaching experiences, reading and writing are not emphasized as listening and speaking. But I do believe the reading and writing are very important. But how to make the reading and writing activities as interactive as the listening and speaking ones are the most difficult questions we have. What this unit mentions in the beginning that matters a lot is: there should be some purposes. One thing I like to do is to group the students to do one competition. Students are more likely to participate in the activities when they have to contribute for their groups.
