This unit is important as it refreshed my phonetic knowldege. In fact, it explained to me how to teach students pronunciation of English words especially the stress feature and how words are pronounced uniquely and differently. I also learnt about reading a certain phonetic script. Moreover, this unit showed the importance of discovering and learning pronunciation even among native speakers since it facilitates communication. In conclusion, it is necessary to know the proper way of teaching pronunciation as it enables students to pronounce correctly.
